The Painting by Thomas Blackshear II

FORGIVEN focuses on twelve key concepts in all, including grace, holiness, darkness, guilt, strength, and redemption. Forgiveness is one of the greatest joys, and one of the most profound gifts, that we can experience.

The scene of Forgiven is Mt. Calvary. A despairing man has a mallet in one hand and a large spike in the other . Both symbolize that each of us is responsible for Christ's death on the cross. Jesus Christ is holding up this broken man; at Christ's feet are broken chains, representing the sin that was to overcome at Calvary. There is a trace of blood on Christ's hands, and in the place where blood has fallen, lilies have grown.

Having ministered to the homeless and the downtrodden for 15 years of my life. This Painting was offered to me as a card by a very dear friend I have shared this beautiful card with many individuals that have truly been impressed with it, so I thought I would share it. I also have in my collection "The Guardian" by Thomas Blackshear II a truly inspirational Artist.

God Bless you Thomas you are truly gifted
